Driving school
theory book

Introduction
  • What you must learn.

You might as well get the end of the book now, A driving licence in itself cannot make you a good driver. A driving licence is initially proof that you've passed your driving test and that you have learnt the basic rules. As you become more experienced, you will become better at handling unexpected situations and understanding traffic in general. When riding, you have a great responsibility at all times because the vast majority of accidents are caused by human error. These are approximately the words with which this theory book ends. But first there is a lot you must learn.

In the Preface you will find useful information

This book has been prepared in accordance with appendix 7 driving test for tractors and motorised implements in the Danish Transport Authority's executive order on driving licences.

It is also based on experience gained from teaching, training and examining drivers of tractors and motorised equipment.

In the preparation of the book, special emphasis has been placed on an instructive and comprehensible form that can facilitate the student's path to a driving licence. The book is thus provided with a large
number of pictures of traffic situations and drawings plus sketches of the tractor's layout and equipment.

The book can also be a good reference book for those who already have a tractor licence, as the book is updated according to current regulations.

The purpose of the tractor driver training programme (power tool) is:

- to provide students with insight and understanding of the dangers and difficulties they may encounter as tractor drivers, as well as knowledge of traffic rules and other
legal provisions that are important in this regard.

- to provide students with such knowledge of the vehicle and its operation that they are able to recognise defects of importance to safety.

- to give students the skills to critically assess traffic and drive the vehicle without endangering themselves or others.

- To help students become considerate and responsible tractor drivers.
